Covid-19: Stricter regulations at the University of Gothenburg are extended

  • Keycard and printing

    To access the facilities you need an updated GU-card. You also need the card to use the printers, found on the 3rd and 4th floors in Patricia.

  • Kitchen & recycling

    A kitchen area is located on the 4th floor in Patricia for students. There you have access to a kitchen, chairs and tables. Students are responsible for keeping the area nice and clean, use recycling containers in the kitchen. On the 3rd floor at the stairwell, there are containers for electronic waste, cardboard, metal, etc.

  • Study areas

    The rooms in Patricia are closed until further notice.

    Under normal circumstances our students are welcome to use available lecture halls. Unfortunately, this is not possible under current circumstances.

    Torg 3

    The room Torg 3 is now a quiet study area, with 8 places for individual study. The places are booked through TimeEdit. NB! You need an updated GU-card to access the room.

    • The places can only be booked by students from the Department of Applied Information Technology.
    • These places are intended for students who are in special need of a quiet place to study.
    • The places in this room are intended for individual study. Group work is not allowed.
    • You may not rearrange the furniture.

    Torg Orange

    There is a group working space on Torg Orange, two tables with max four individuals per group. Available for students to book in Timeedit.

  • Fire alarm

    It is important that you as a student are aware of fire protection routines in our facilities.

    Look around and find out where evacuation plans are located. The evacuation plans show evacuation routes, fire extinguishers, fire alarms and assembly points.

    In case of fire it is not allowed to use the elevators due to safety reasons.

    In case of fire:

    1. When the fire alarm goes off - start the evacuation immediately! Look around and follow the green signs for evacuation. Always pick the nearest escape route.
    2. Assist others that are in obvious danger, as long as you do not expose yourself to risks. Remember that fire smoke is toxic - get out safely by crawling along the floor. Close all windows and doors.
    3. Warn others that may not perceive the alarm.
    4. Extinguish the fire if possible but without taking unnecessary risks. Fire extinguishers are deployed at strategic locations and are marked out in the evacuation plan.
    5. Call the emergency number 112 and alert the emergency services - do not forget to specify the location of the fire.
    6. Go to the assembly point on the lawn outside of house Patricia.
    7. Search for other students from the same lecture/seminar as you and find out together if anybody is missing.
    8. Report immediately to the emergency services if anybody is missing.
    9. Stay at the assembly point until the emergency services has given clearance to leave.
