Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offers education within a broad range of subjects such as computer science, software engineering, and interaction design. CSE is an international department and is shared between two universities: the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.
CSE conducts education on two different campuses: Campus Johanneberg and Campus Lindholmen. Being a shared department between the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology means that our staff teach and do research at both universities. This also means that our students can choose from more courses and have access to facilities at both universities.

Student office CSE
CSE Student Office offers service and support to students at the department of Computer science and engineering.
CSE Student Office can help with, among other things:
- How to sign-up for an examination and how to pick up a written examination
- Registration for courses
- Hand out and answer questions about access card
- How to find course pages in Canvas
- Credit transfer
