Scholarship at the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce San Francisco and Silicon Valley

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco and Silicon Valley is proud to announce our scholarship program with the donor Sten A. Olsson Foundation and in cooperation with the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to be part of the cutting-edge setting that is the Bay Area today. We are looking for a proactive, ambitious and result-oriented scholar to join our team for one year starting in end July 2022 and ending in June 2023.

Business development and marketing scholarship

The Business Development and Marketing scholar will live in San Francisco for a year and actively participate together with the other interns in the work of the Chamber of Commerce – Business Delegation Visits, event planning, content creation and seminars. The scholar will focus on SACC-SF/SV´s relations with companies in the Bay Area and Sweden along with creation of Communication and Social Media Marketing strategies and activities to enhance participation and engagement, increase partnerships and market reach.

The Scholar will collaborate with other interns to coordinate SACC-SF/SV’s larger events throughout the year. The student will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of international trade and business relations at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. SACC-SF/SV are looking for a structured and proactive person, with an outgoing personality and a record of leadership and related extracurricular experience. The person is a recent graduate or currently enrolled in the Business and Economics program or in the master of Laws program at University of Gothenburg. The applicant should have completed two years of the Program at the minimum in the end of spring term 2022.

As a scholar at SACC-SF/SV you will be able to expand your professional network, gain new experience and advance your skills by working in a highly inspirational atmosphere and by meeting and collaborating with industry leaders and professionals in a variety of business sectors. This is an annual one-year scholarship of SEK 200,000, beginning in the end of July 2022 and ending in June 2023. You must be a Swedish citizen eligible for a J-1 visa to be considered for this position.
