Academic language and writing
Develop your language and writing skills with the support of the Unit for Academic Language (ASK). The unit's resources are provided in Swedish and English and are open to all students at the University of Gothenburg, regardless of faculty or educational level.
Support in academic language discontinued from July 1
As of the Autumn semester of 2026, The Unit for Academic Language will no longer give support in academic language and writing to students at the University of Gothenburg.
This change means that advising sessions and other resources will no longer be offered by the unit from July 1, 2026.
Planning is underway for a new university-wide service to support students at all levels in academic language and writing. How the new support service will be organized has not yet been decided.
