Opening hours
The times you can enter our premises at Campus Lindholmen without a GU card vary. Students with access authorisation on their GU card can enter the premises they are authorised to access around the clock.
Public transport
You can easily get here by boat from ferry stop "Stenpiren" not far away from Brunnsparken, straight to “Lindholmspiren”. Trams and buses will also take you from the city centre to tram/bus stop "Lindholmen" in around ten minutes.
Access
Some premises, such as computer rooms and student areas for the various departments, are only accessible if you are studying at that department.
To gain access to the premises and areas that are relevant to you and to access computers on campus, you need to do the following:
- Activate your student account
- Register for the course(s) you will be studying
- Obtain a GU card, which serves as an access card to the premises
- Activate your CID (Chalmers account)
You can activate your CID no earlier than one week before your course begins. Before that, you need to have activated your student account and registered for your courses. You can activate your CID before ordering your GU card. Once your CID is activated, you will usually have access to the premises within one to two hours, but at the start of the semester it may take until the following day before you can enter.

Please note that students do not have access on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, during the summer/holiday period, or during the Christmas/New Year period.

Campus Lindholmen is home to Lärandetorg Kuggen, which is part of the Chalmers Library. The library offers study spaces and bookable group rooms, among other things. Students with a GU card can access Kuggen during extended opening hours when the library is unstaffed.

Study areas
There are study areas at Campus Lindholmen where all students can sit and study. Some of the areas are programme-specific, and you only have access to them if you are studying at a specific department. Most halls and rooms can be found via Campus maps by entering ‘study areas’ in the search box.

Food, refreshments and fika on campus
There are several places to eat and drink in the area. There is a wide selection of lunch restaurants and cafés both along the quay and in the surrounding area.
Quiet room
There is a rest room on the ground floor of the Jupiter building.
