Nominate candidates for Eva Wiberg Scholarship 2026

Published

It is time to nominate candidates for the “Eva Wiberg Scholarship”, which is associated with the Student Fund at the University of Gothenburg. Anyone connected to the university can make nominations, from 2 February, last date is 2 March.

"The social aspect of student life is of course a completely central part of how one experiences their time as a student," says former Vice-Chancellor Eva Wiberg. "But for me, it has also been important to highlight the presence of students in the city, as it increases the attractiveness of Gothenburg."

Each year, one or more scholarships, totaling 50,000 Swedish kronor, will be awarded to organizations or individuals who have taken commendable initiatives and organized social activities for students at the University of Gothenburg. Initiatives that promote inclusivity, unity among students, and collaboration with the surrounding community and business sector are given priority.

The purpose of the Student Fund is to provide better conditions for successful studies, contribute to student well-being, strengthen cohesion among different student groups, foster a sense of community across educational areas, and enhance the attractiveness of both the university and the city of Gothenburg.

The Student Fund was founded in the spring of 2023 by the then Vice-Chancellor Eva Wiberg in collaboration with, among others, Carl Bennet AB.
