Student work environment representatives (SAMO)
Student work environment representatives (SAMO) represent students in matters concerning study environment. SAMO must ensure that the study environment is good and that the education organiser takes responsibility for the study environment for all students.
About SAMO and SHAMO
- Being a SAMO (student work environment representative) is a position of trust that is elected by the student union active at a particular faculty and department
- There must be at least one SAMO per department and one SHAMO (chief student work environment representative) per faculty. The SHAMO is tasked with coordinating all SAMOs within their faculty in addition to their duties as a SAMO.
- You can contact the SAMO at your department if you want to raise something related to the study environment. In order for SAMO to be able to represent students, it is important that they receive information about how the study environment is working.
