Hall-based examinations in your department's premises

If you are sitting a hall-based examination in your department's premises, here you can find out more about what happens on the day and what is expected of you.

Differences between examination halls

At the University of Gothenburg, you can sit a hall-based examination in different locations - either in your own department's premises or in the University's common examination halls.

The rules for examination are always the same, regardless of where you sit. What may differ is the practical side of things — for example, how the hall is organised or what aids are permitted.

In some cases, the examination is held at another higher education institution, such as Chalmers. In that case, the University of Gothenburg's rules apply, unless otherwise specified.
