GU-wide exchange spots
The University of Gothenburg has a joint interdisciplinary agreement with CY Cergy Paris Université through the EUTOPIA network. Most of the university's students can apply for an exchange place there, but the possibility to go on GU-wide agreements differs between the different faculties. You need to check with your faculty, and that CY Cergy Paris Université offers courses in your study field.
CY Cergy Paris Université is located in Cergy-Pontoise, a suburb of Paris with 200,000 inhabitants. The university was formed in 2020 through a merger of the Université de Cergy-Pontoise, the School of Engineering EISTI and the COMUE Paris Seine. The newly formed university also integrates two graduate schools: ILEPS (sports and educational sciences) and EPSS (social work), and has the ESSEC Business School as a strategic partner.
The university has 25 000 students, 1200 researchers and a large campus in the heart of Cergy-Pontoise. The aim is to make the campus the third largest in the Paris region.
You can take up to two courses from a different faculty than the one you are registered with, provided that the timetable allows it. Please note that this is not possible with CY's School of Political Science (Sciences Po Saint-Germain) and Institute of Education (INSPE) since campuses are not in Cergy, contrary to the other Faculties.
There are no courses offered in the artistic subject areas.
France is part of the Erasmusprogramme – which means that you can receive an Erasmus+grant if you do an exchange period at CY Cergy Paris University.
