Campus Pedagogen
Pedagogen brings together all future preschool teachers and teachers, as well as students focusing on nutrition and sports science, leadership and pedagogy. Many students are teachers who are continuing their education. The main building also houses the Pedagogical Library.

Pedagogen is located right next to Grönsakstorget in central Gothenburg and consists of three buildings:

Pedagogen Building B
Main entrance to Building B, Läroverksgatan 15
Monday–Friday: 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Eligible students can enter with their GU card Monday–Friday until 9:00 p.m.
Accessibility
Choose the main entrance to buildings A and B or the side entrance to building C.
Access
Building A is open during regular opening hours for students Monday-Friday. If you are a student at the Faculty of Education and have a valid GU card, you have access to buildings B and C after regular opening hours Monday-Friday, see opening hours.

Nearest stop: Grönsakstorget (bus and tram)
Pedagogen is very centrally located and you are about a 5-10 minute walk from other stops such as Kungsportsplatsen, Vasaplatsen, Brunnsparken and Stenpiren.

- Building A houses The Department of Education and Special Education.
- Building B houses the Department of Didactics and Educational Profession (IDPP) and the Department of Education, Communication and Learning (IPKL).
- Building C houses The Department of Food and Sports Science
which also has premises at the School of Sports Science at Skånegatan 14 B.
Teacher training students who occasionally study parts of their teacher training at other faculties are affiliated with this programme.
Finding your way around the premises
The three buildings at Pedagogen are called Building A, Building B and Building C. A hall or office may be designated, for example, ‘A1 318’. In this case, A1 stands for ‘Building A, floor 1’, and 318 is the room number. Halls on the basement floor of Building A begin with AK.

Lecture halls and teaching
- Kjell Härnqvist Hall, one of the larger lecture halls, is located in the basement of Building A.
- Margareta Huitfeldt Auditorium, a larger lecture hall, is located in the middle of Building C.
Library
The library holds books and journals in the educational sciences, food and nutrition, and sports science. The library is located in the premises of Campus Pedagogen, house A.

Study areas
All three buildings have several floors with plenty of different types of student workstations that do not need to be booked.
You will find everything from reading chairs and screened-off individual workstations to group workstations in quiet cubicles or at tables. There are both places in quiet environments and places located in public areas and corridors where there is more movement and noise.
Computer room
There are 12 places for individual or group work in Building B (B3 338) . A valid GU card is required.
Group rooms available for reservation
In buildings B and C, there are group rooms that can be booked by students who are registered on courses at the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
Open study areas
During regular opening hours, study areas in open spaces can be used by all students at the University of Gothenburg.
However, the larger student area in the basement of the C building is only for students who are registered at the Faculty of Education.
Food, refreshments and fika on campus
Breakfast, coffee, cold drinks and a selection of refreshments, sandwiches, salads and the lunch of the day are served by:

Quiet rooms and rest rooms
Quiet rooms are available in the A building (room A1 321). Floor 1 in the ‘arch’ closest to Grönsakstorget, in the older part of the building.
Other facilities
- Student areas with microwaves and refrigerators for food brought from home are available in all three buildings.
- The University Library, Building A, also has a number of individual study spaces, group rooms and computer workstations.
- Tutoring in academic language and writing (A2 232 and room A2 233).

Service Centre
The Service Centre is located in Building A on the ground floor. The Service Centre can help you with GU cards, student accounts, study certificates and support for digital services. The Service Centre also sells university merchandise.

The Student Union office is located in the C building (entrance at Läroverksgatan 7).
