The University of Gothenburg is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East. Here you will find information relevant to you as a student, including details about travel and counselling support.

In response to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, the University has established a dedicated assessment group to monitor developments. According to the University’s student travel system, there is currently no information indicating that any students are present in the affected region.

Travel advice

If you are planning to travel abroad, for example for exchange studies, a traineeship or field studies, it is important to stay up to date with the security situation.

Counselling support

If you are feeling anxious or affected by recent events, support is available. The Student Health Centre offers counselling and guidance for students. You can also contact the University Chaplaincy in Gothenburg, which is open to everyone regardless of faith or beliefs.
