Approved ID documents

During your studies, you may need to show a valid and physical form of ID, for example when taking an exam or visiting Servicecenter.  The ID document must be valid and may not damaged in any way. 

List of accepted ID documents

Sweden and other Nordic countries

• Passport
• Swedish national ID card
• Driving licence issued in a Nordic country
• Swedish SIS-marked ID card or ID card issued by a government agency, such as the Swedish Tax Agency
• National ID card issued by a government agency in a EU/EES country

Within EU/EES

• Passport
• National ID card issued by a government agency in a EU/EES country

Outside EU/EES

• Passport

• Digital ID
• Non-valid ID
• Photo of a valid ID document
• Provisional passport
• Alien's passport
• Driving licence from a non-Nordic country
• Residence permit card from the Migration Agency
• LMA card
