Lectures, talks, workshops, competitions and much more.
This year, the Science Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary – and the University of Gothenburg is a proud co-founder and has participated since the beginning.
This year's theme, Truth and Consequence, focuses on one of the most pressing questions of our time: What is true – and what happens when we act on what we believe to be true? In a world characterized by rapid information flows, AI, disinformation and complex societal challenges, scientific perspectives are needed more than ever.
The University of Gothenburg participates with interesting, exciting and in-depth conversations, lectures and meetings with researchers from a wide range of subject areas. Together we explore how knowledge is created, tested and questioned – and what consequences it has for individuals, society and the future.
Welcome to take part in current research, ask questions and participate in conversations about truth, responsibility and the importance of science. The program is open and free for everyone.
The festival's main venues are Nordstan, the City Library and the Contrast restaurant. You can also find the festival in the university's own premises, in cafes and other public places.
Here you will find this year's program.
Program items are in both swedish and english.
