Important notice on recycling

Published

At the University of Gothenburg, both staff and students have a personal responsibility to recycle and take care of our shared environments.

Unfortunately, we often find that rubbish ends up in the wrong bin. This makes recycling difficult and can even result in the Academy of Music and Drama having to pay a fine. Leftover food, chewing gum and other rubbish are also often left behind, which negatively impacts both comfort and the working environment.

To help with correct sorting, we have updated the sorting stations on Eklandagatan with clearer signage. Please use them and remind each other if necessary.

The following is expected of everyone:

  • Sort waste. Follow the instructions at the sorting centres.
  • Take care of all waste immediately and leave nothing behind.
  • Show consideration for each other's work and study environments.

pecial waste such as batteries, electronics and non-combustibles must be disposed of in the special waste room located at the far end of the second floor of building 2 (at the Eklandagatan 84 entrance). This waste must not be disposed of in normal bins.

Thank you for taking responsibility. By following these guidelines, you are helping to create a clean, safe and sustainable environment for everyone.
