Keep access to Ladok after your studies

Published

Are you an international student without a Swedish personal identity number, or are you planning to move away from Sweden? Add an alternative login method to your Ladok account now.

Your student account will be closed 12 months after the last course you took, meaning you will no longer be able to log in to Ladok with the same details as during your studies. However, you may still need access to Ladok after finishing your studies, for example to download certificates and degree certificates, or to apply for credit transfer and a degree.

By adding an alternative login method while you are still a student, you can ensure that you will be able to log in to Ladok even after the university has closed your student account.

Add your alternative login method well in advance of completing your studies to retain access to your details in Ladok even after you’ve finished studying.

Find your way around Ladok to add an alternative login method

  1. Log in to Ladok using your student account.
  2. Click on your name at the top of the menu and select ‘My profile’.
  3. Select ‘My login methods’ in the menu on the left.

Further information on how to do this is available in Ladok.

If you have a Swedish personal identity number and live in Sweden

You can use BankID or Freja ID+ to log in to Ladok when you have completed your studies.
