Announcement: Sahlgrenska Academy's Teaching Award 2025

Now you have the chance to highlight and reward a teacher who makes an extraordinary contribution to education! Recognize dedicated and innovative teachers by nominating them for Sahlgrenska Academy's Teaching Award 2025.

The award aims to recognize and reward teachers or teaching teams within Sahlgrenska Academy who, through their pedagogical work, contribute to maintaining a high level of education and making it attractive to you as a student. The prize amount is 100,000 SEK and is intended for professional development and further advancement. The award will be presented at a formal ceremony.

Nominate your teacher!

All teachers who teach within Sahlgrenska Academy's field of activity are eligible. Please note that self-nomination is not possible – it is therefore especially important that you as a student acknowledge and nominate your valued teachers.

To nominate a teacher, send a well-founded justification by email to charlotte.gripenberg@gu.se no later than May 16, 2025. A review group appointed by the Education Council will assess the nominations and propose a recipient to the Dean.

Criteria

The recipient must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Have developed and successfully implemented an innovative pedagogical idea in teaching.

Have carried out a long-term, highly appreciated, and successful teaching career.

In the assessment of nominations, the following aspects will also be considered:

Enthusiasm, dedication, and how the teaching stimulates student learning.
Contribution to the development of teaching methods and examinations.
Contribution to the development of courses, educational programs, and study and learning environments.
Contribution to knowledge development within higher education pedagogy.
