Nomination time - the 2024 Pam Fredman Award

Published

It is now time to nominate University of Gothenburg teachers and researchers who have made valuable contributions to social sustainability and lifelong learning. Any teacher or researcher at the university can be nominated.

Pam Fredman was the vice-chancellor of the University of Gothenburg from 2006 to 2017. As the university’s farewell gift to her, an award was instituted to mark the commitment she showed to sustainable development issues and, in particular, social sustainability and lifelong learning.

The award comprises a diploma and a grant to a department (or equivalent) of SEK 20,000 per award winner (up to a maximum of SEK 50,000). This sum is to be used for the professional development of the winner(s). The award is presented in October each year at the university’s doctoral degree ceremony.

Nominations no later than 31 March

All students and employees at the University of Gothenburg can submit nominations.

Each nomination must contain the contact details of the nominated person(s) and reasons for said nomination. It must be sent to the vice-chancellor no later than 31 March 2024. An award committee then processes all nominations and the University Board chooses the winner(s).
