Do you know what rules govern your studies and exams? Read the new “Rules for Studies”

Published

The new policy document “Rules for Studies at First- and Second-Cycle Level” applies from the autumn semester 2025 and contains rules for studies and for examinations. As a student, you are required to be familiar with these rules.

Here are some changes that have been made to the new rules regarding hall-based exams:

  • You must arrive at the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. Previously, 30 minutes applied for DISA exams (e-exams) and 15 minutes for exams on paper.
  • Driver's licenses from countries outside the Nordic region are no longer accepted as ID documents for hall-based exams. ID documents approved for hall-based exams are specified on the page Approved ID documents.
  • It is now specified that you must be registered in advance to take a hall-based exam. Previously, unregistered students could take hall-based exams on paper if there was space available.
