Book a group room or other study space
At the University of Gothenburg and its libraries, there are several group rooms, other study spaces, facilities, and equipment that students can book. What you can use and how to book it depends on your studies.
How booking works
Most bookings are made in the booking system TimeEdit. What you can book depends on your studies and faculty. In most cases, you can only book group rooms in the buildings where your classes take place.
A small number of educations use other booking systems. Scroll down the page to see if there is any information that applies to your studies.

Find a group room
Group rooms are available in most of the University and library buildings. There is no complete list of all group rooms, but you can find them in the following ways:
- Log in to TimeEdit to see which group rooms you can book, including the address and other useful information
- Find information about group rooms on your campus via Campuses and study areas at the University of Gothenburg
- Read the library’s information on Group and individual study rooms at the libraries
Find other study spaces
Group rooms are a form of study spaces. There are also individual study spaces and open areas for individual study and group work, such as workstations, computer workspaces, and reading areas. Some educations also offer dedicated study spaces, such as laboratories, dance studios, or other specialist facilities.
How to find out where you can sit:
- Bookable study spaces (including addresses) can be found in TimeEdit. Many study spaces cannot be booked and can be used as long as they are available.
- Find study spaces where you want to study via Campuses and study areas at the University of Gothenburg.
