Published

A project at the Department of Political Science is recruiting a Spanish-speaking person as an associate researcher (for 40 hours. This is a part-time job that will give you merits of working in a research project and could give you fun insight in the research process.

The research project is looking for a student who knows Spanish and would be comfortable to engage in independent work by contacting researchers and authorities in search for information. Tasks consist of writing emails, following up leads independently and finding people to contact. The end goal is to identify archival data.

The maximum scope for this temporary task is 40 hours, and these will need to be done over the course of a couple of weeks, so that the person will be able to follow up contacts. Ideally, the person can start in May and complete this before mid June.

  • Proficiency in Spanish is needed,
  • Studies at the University is necessary, no degree needed,
  • The project needs somebody that can identify possible persons, contacting them, follow up leads without so much supervision and work indpendently,
  • We are looking for somebody that likes a challenge - the data we are looking for might indeed be difficult to find,
  • Knowledge of Nicaragua is an asset but not required.
