Lecture: Imposter syndrome
For students
Have you ever felt that someone is going to figure out that you don’t actually belong? That you made it to where you are by pure luck?
Have you ever felt that someone is going to figure out that you don’t actually belong? That you made it to where you are by pure luck?
Imposter syndrome is the persistent feeling of self-doubt and fear of being exposed as a fraud, sometimes despite contradicting evidence of competence and achievement. In this lecture, we will explore how imposter syndrome works, its impact on well-being, and what psychology tells us about managing it.
After the lecture, we will serve fika in the corridor outside the lecture hall and you will have the opportunity to mingle and to talk to our lecturer Rebecca, registered psychologist at Feelgood.
