Heating restored at Kristinelundsgatan but new installation to be planned

Published

Updated news 251024: Due to a broken heat pump, the HDK-Valand building on Kristinelundsgatan has been cold earlier this week. A temporary solution was installed on Wednesday afternoon, which brought the temperature back up. However, indoor temperatures will soon be affected again when new parts are to be installed.

On Wednesday, the property owner Higab installed a temporary solution to the broken heat pump, which restored heating in the building.

A replacement of the heat pump’s permanent parts is now being planned. The parts are expected to be delivered in the end of next week (October 31). During the installation, the building will once again be cold for 1–2 days.

Campus Service and HDK-Valand’s facility coordinator, Dan Sandkvist, are in dialogue with the property owner Higab to ensure that the installation causes as little disruption as possible to our activities.

As soon as a date for the installation is set, staff and students will be informed via email.
