University of Gothenburg has been a partner of Frihamnsdagarna, which is Sweden's new arena for conversation, for several years now.

During Frihamnsdagarnas three days, universities conduct several workshops, lectures and talks. On site are student representatives, researchers and other staff who work with the university's operations.

Focus on mathematics, biological diversity and cultural heritage in the tent
In the university's tent there will be students and researchers from both Chalmers and Gothenburg universities who can answer questions and mathematics and challenge you in various math puzzles where you have the opportunity to win great prizes.

Do you want to learn more about biodiversity and what you can do to increase it? There are representatives from the University of Gothenburg on site who will tell you more and will challenge you in various competitions.

Fragrances are often associated with strong memories. Our representatives from the Center for Critical Cultural Heritage Studies will let you test your sense of smell, browse cookbooks from all over the world and ask you to share different food memories.

This and much more will take place in the university's tent during Frihamnsdagarna.

Make your own passport
On site there is also Make your own passport as in your own tent on Thursday and Friday. Here you can learn more about global issues such as citizenship, statelessness, migration and borders.

Visit Flytevi
Adjacent to Bananpiren is the marine allotment Flytevi, which is open to the public during Frihamnsdagarna. Here you can, among other things, learn more about the seafood of the future and make your own seaweed salt.

Stage program
During the days, several researchers will be on site and give lectures on the arena's various stages.

Note that the majority of the university's program points are in Swedish.
