Sign up for The Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon – together against the world's health issues. Choose one of five challenge areas in which you’d like to contribute. The deadline for registration is Christmas Eve, December 24.
The Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon is organized by Sahlgrenska Science Park, with sponsorship from Sahlgrenska Academy, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and others.
"By participating in the Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon, Sahlgrenska Academy strengthens its role as a leader in health innovation, benefiting both locally and globally. We look forward to seeing many great ideas from our staff and students," says Ewa-Lena Bratt, Vice Dean for Collaboration at Sahlgrenska Academy.
Develop an idea
The event is aimed at healthcare providers, clinicians, researchers, and students, as well as professionals and students in fields such as AI, IT, biotechnology, health informatics, and epidemiology. The goal is to collectively generate ideas and solutions to meet global health challenges.
“The hackathon offers a chance to get support for developing an idea, so don’t miss the opportunity to submit a proposal if you or your team have ideas for solutions to these challenges,” says Ewa-Lena Bratt. “These areas are closely aligned with our research and education, so there’s a lot of expertise here.”
The Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon will take place in several countries on different dates. The Swedish hackathon will be held the weekend of February 1-2, 2025. The most promising ideas presented at hackathons worldwide will advance to the grand finale, which takes place on October 13, 2025, in Gothenburg.
