HDK-Valand’s buildings to be scanned for future use

Published

HDK-Valand’s buildings in Gothenburg will be scanned externally and internally. The scanning of the interior will take place between 5 and 10 am and the exterior scanning takes place when the weather conditions are good enough. The work is planned to be finished during week 14.

The work is being carried out by the company Swescan on behalf of the property owner Higab. The purpose of the scanning is to create new drawings and models of the buildings, which will serve as a basis for preliminary studies on how the premises may be used once HDK-Valand relocates to Konstnärliga.

Drone scanning

The exterior scanning of the buildings at Vasagatan/Storgatan and Kristinelundsgatan will be carried out using drones. This work is not expected to affect activities in the buildings.

Scanning of the interior at 5-10 am in the mornings

The scanning of the interiors (workshops, lecture rooms, studios, offices) at Vasagatan/Storgatan will take place between 5 and 10 am. Other interior spaces will be scanned after 10 am. To scan a room only takes a couple of minutes. The interiors of HDK-Valand at Kristinelundsgatan will be scanned later this fall.
