Student Counselling
Our student counselors can help you become aware of your interests and assist in evaluating your previous studies and work experiences. This support will enable you to independently make well-informed decisions regarding your studies and career.

Programme content
Being part of the EMHRPP programme gives you the opportunity to study at four different universities in four different countries during two years of full-time studies.

Semester 1 in Gothenburg
You will study your first semester at the University of Gothenburg. The autumn semester in Gothenburg starts in the end of August each year and ends in the middle of January. Studying a full semester at the University of Gothenburg gives you 30 Higher Education Credits (HEC, ECTS), and the semester is divided into two courses á 15 credits each.

Course information in Canvas
All course related information, including schedule, is communicated via our pedagogical electronic platform Canvas. On the course page in Canvas, you will receive information from the course coordinators as well as from the education administration. Once you are registered to the course you will have full access to all the course pages. Here are links to the Canvas pages for the autumn semester of 2023:

Register for courses
As a programme student it is your responsibility to register to every new course throughout the semester. It is important to register to the course you are attending in order to get your grades and for your student insurance to be valid.
You register online via the Ladok services in the Student Portal within the registration period. Registration can be done at the earliest one week ahead of the course start. Information and instructions about registration is e-mailed by the education administrator ahead of the course start.
Please contact the education administration if you have problems with online registration.
Re-registration
If you were not able to finish a course within the course dates you can get re-registered. Re-registration is only possible when the course is given and if there are available seats. Contact the education administrator to ask for re-registration.
How to apply for your degree
When you have finished all courses within the EMRHPP programme you must apply for your degree. You will receive a joint degree from all the four participating Universities, but the degree is issued by the University of Gothenburg.
