Career paths after graduation

Throughout your university education, you gain diverse knowledge and skills. Regardless of your chosen field of study, there are often numerous avenues to explore after graduation.

Education opens the door to your career

In 2019, the Swedish Higher Education Authority (Universitetskanslersämbetet - UKÄ) conducted a study to determine how many students had secured stable employment and hadn't experienced unemployment in the past year.

Between one and one and a half years after graduation, on average, 82 percent of those who had graduated from the University of Gothenburg had successfully entered the job market. The numbers vary somewhat depending on the field of study but are generally high.
