As a student at the Academy of Music and Drama, you can currently apply for the following scholarships.

Royal Swedish Academy of Music Local Scholarships 2025

  • Eligibility: Anyone who has been admitted to and is studying at a Swedish music college/university or opera college/university is eligible to apply.
  • Application deadline: 30 October
  • Scholarship amount: between SEK 7,500 and SEK 20,000.
  • Please note, however, that foreign students studying within the framework of exchange programmes are not eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Allan Pettersson Music Foundation

Grants for projects that stimulate interest in composer Allan Pettersson and his music. These may include research, concert projects or recordings.

Evenson Scholarship Fund

Scholarships for students at the University of Gothenburg with ties to Värmland

Veronica Öhman Scholarship Foundation

Gives out scholarships to young women studying music and culture. Recipients should combine tradition with a spirit of discovery and open-mindedness with quality and knowledge.

The OVIS Voice Singing Competition 2025

Open to vocal students born in 1990 or later who have some connection to Skåne or the Öresund region, including the Copenhagen area.

Fredrika Bremer Association's Scholarship Foundation
Eligibility for the Aurora Liljeros Fund: female vocalists
Eligibility for the Veronica Öhman Scholarship Foundation: women in the fields of music and culture

  • Application deadline: 15 October

The Otto and Charlotte Mannheimer Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility: all students who meet the scholarship regulations of the Academy of Music and Drama (see regulations on the Student Portal)

  • Application period: 1 September – 8 October

  • Scholarship amount: 10 scholarships of SEK 10,000 each

The Ingrid and Erland Glimstedt Fund

Eligibility: students majoring in classical piano or opera

  • Application period: 1 September – 9 November

The Ingeborg and Roy Staremark Fund

Eligibility: students at the Academy of Music and Drama with violin as their principal instrument

  • Application period: 1 September – 9 November
  • Final deadline: 9 November

  • Scholarship amount: Between SEK 20,000 and 35,000 per scholarship
