Gustaf Tobison Family Scholarship Fund

  • Eligibility requirements: graduating students of Bachelor's programmes in opera, musical theatre and acting

The Bertha Neubergh foundation for artistic educations and the Lars and Yvonne Gurmund foundation

  • Eligibility requirements: students in the field of music and theatre
  • Deadline: 2025-03-20

  • Scholarship amount: 4 scholarships of SEK 15,000, but the amount and number of scholarships may vary

The Holger Gustavsson Foundation

  • Eligibility requirements: string instrument students in all genres
  • Deadline: 2025-03-24

  • Scholarship amount: 8 scholarships of SEK 10,000 each, but the amount and number of scholarships may vary

The Birgitta Cleve and Einar Björkander Scholarship

  • Eligibility requirements: students in classical music and opera from year two
  • Deadline: 2025-04-27

  • Scholarship amount: 1-3 scholarships of SEK 25 000 - 50 000

The John Andersson Family in Anderslöv Scholarships in 2025

This year, the Foundation is awarding larger scholarships than ever in the instrument groups voice, piano, violin/viola and cello: 4 scholarships of SEK 120,000 each to students at university level.

  • Qualified to apply: For violin students, preferably in their third year of an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the Academy of Music and Drama.

The John Andersson Family Foundation in Anderslöv

  • Eligibility requirements: Some categories of classical and folk music students
  • Application period: 1 February - 1 March 2025
  • Application: directly to Familjen John Anderssons i Anderslöv stiftelse
  • Amount: SEK 120,000 each to four students

Gothenburg Freemasons' Music and Singing Scholarships

Eligible to apply: young music students with a connection to Gothenburg. 
Deadline: February 25, 2025

Adlerbert Foreign Student Hospitality Foundation scholarship 2025

International students at the University of Gothenburg, including free-movers, exchange students, guest researchers, etc, at all levels (undergraduate, master, doctoral) who do not intend to remain in Sweden after their studies, internship, or similar are welcome to apply. 

Eligibility:
•    The length of the studies should be at least three months. 
•    Students who receive Swedish study loan (CSN) are not qualified for the scholarship.
•    Students who have a permanent residence permit (PUT) in Sweden are not qualified for the scholarship. 
•    A visiting student may only receive this grant once as a student at the University of Gothenburg.
