Current scholarships

The Makarna Lindeqvist Foundation grants scholarships 

For financially needy students who are registered in Sweden and aged between 18 and 24. You can apply for a grant for:

• Professional training in the arts
• Degree project, in any subject area

Your education or degree project must begin no earlier than 1 July of the year of application and no later than 30 June of the following year. The Foundation welcomes applicants from a wide range of artistic and creative fields. Application period: 1 January to 30 April. Please attach the following documents:

• Identity card not older than 3 months. Applicants must be between 18 and 24 years old by the application deadline of 30 April.
• Final tax form for income year 2023
• Admission certificate, certificate from teacher or similar that proves participation in education.

Greta and Johan Kock Music Scholarship

• Eligibility requirements: music student from Trelleborg municipality or with a connection to the municipality
• Deadline: 2025-03-23

• Scholarship amount: SEK 15,000

Laura Bassi Scholarship

• Application deadline: 31 March 2025
• Results: 11 April 2025
• Eligibility requirements: All currently enrolled master’s and doctoral candidates are eligible to apply, as are academics in the first five years of full-time employment. Applicants are required to submit a completed application form along with their CV through the application portal by the relevant deadline.

Gustaf Tobison Family Scholarship Fund

• Eligibility requirements: graduating students of Bachelor's programmes in opera, musical theatre and acting
• Deadline: 2025-03-28

The Bertha Neubergh foundation for artistic educations and the Lars and Yvonne Gurmund foundation

• Eligibility requirements: students in the field of music and theatre
• Deadline: 2025-03-20

• Scholarship amount: 4 scholarships of SEK 15,000, but the amount and number of scholarships may vary

The Holger Gustavsson Foundation

• Eligibility requirements: string instrument students in all genres
• Deadline: 2025-03-24

• Scholarship amount: 8 scholarships of SEK 10,000 each, but the amount and number of scholarships may vary

The Birgitta Cleve and Einar Björkander Scholarship

• Eligibility requirements: students in classical music and opera from year two
• Deadline: 2025-04-27

• Scholarship amount: 1-3 scholarships of SEK 25 000 - 50 000
