Experience a moment in life through the eyes of a refugee with the help of Virtual Reality

The research programme SIPGI is looking for volunteers to facilitate an interesting VR experiment during Gothenburg's International Science Festival (Vetenskapsfestivalen). Register no later than 1 April.

The Social Institutions, Political Governance and Integration of Refugees research programme (SIPGI), which is affiliated with the Department of Political Science and School of Global Studies, is looking for interested students to facilitate a virtual reality experiment at Gothenburg's Science Festival.

Where: Nordstan, Gothenburg.
When: 17 to 21 April 2024.

What you will get as a volunteer: As a volunteer, you will receive training in research methods and ethics by the project's co-Principal investigator, a lunch and "fika" for each time slot you sign up for, as well as a certificate acknowledging your participation. Additionally, you will also be named in acknowledgements on publications coming from this work, if you would like to.
Above all, your effort will contribute to research results that can improve the lives of refugees and migrants in Sweden.

How it works: Each day consists of two different 5-hour slots or 4-hour slots, 10.00-15.00 and 15.00-20.00 or 10.00-14.00 and 14.00-18.00. You can register for more than one time slot. Make sure you can attend the entire session (including 15 minutes before your time slot starts). There will be lunch and fika at each time slot you sign up for.
