The semester has been underway for a while, and perhaps you've already found a favourite spot to sit and study, or perhaps not? Here's a small guide to the University's study spaces.
If you want to sit in the school and study, you can do so in most of our buildings, regardless of where your teaching takes place. Throughout the entire university (and at the university library!), there are plenty of areas with study spaces, both for individual study and group work.
Our study spaces are designed to provide you with a good study environment, including good lighting and ergonomics. Sometimes it's important to sit at a desk, other times it's nice to lean back on a sofa. The university thinks it is important with good study environment , and therefore there is ongoing work to improve and develop the study spaces. For example, new study spaces were opened before the autumn term in Psykologen, Mediahuset and in the basement of Medicinarelängan.
In spring 2022, 120 new study spaces were opened at Pusterviksgatan 3 as a pilot project. The background was that the existing study spaces at the Social Sciences Library were closed due to disruptive work from the West Link project. Last spring, the Social Sciences Library's study spaces reopened, and Pusterviksgatan was evaluated. It turns out that on average, 15 students use the premises daily. Therefore, the existing lease has been terminated and the study spaces at Pusterviksgatan will close on 28 December.
