Programme overwiev
The programme consists of 12 courses of 7.5 credits each and a master's thesis of 30 credits.
There is only one mandatory course (Perspectives in mathematics) at the programme. Depending on your choice of specialization, you should choose 4-9 courses from a list of recommended courses. The remaining 2-7 courses can be chosen freely. It is possible to include some bachelor level courses but at most four courses (30 credits) in a master's degree can be at bachelor level.

- Practical issues for students at the Department of Mathematical Sciences
As a student at our department, you have all your education at Campus Johanneberg in the Chalmers area. This means that some things are different compared to students at other parts of the University of Gothenburg. For instance we use the examination halls of Chalmers and you also need to receive additional access to our premises. We have gathered practical aspects of your studies which applies to students at our department.
